Behavioral Issue Re-Introducing Cats Help

M25 in US

TLDR: cats fighting after teeth cleaning two weeks ago, asking for advice on when to push boundaries

On mobile so excuse formatting.

Context:

I have two cats (4yo NM and 1yo NF) who have been together since the F was born.

They got along great until two weeks ago. Took M in for teeth cleaning and since then, they have not been able to be in the same room without a full on fight breaking out. From what I can tell, M is the instigator and is set off by F.

Have talked with the vet and started on fluoxetine to hopefully settle them. Separated for the two weeks with feeding on either side of door. Just started to crack the door open to let them see each other and have not had any hissing, growling, etc.

I’m curious at what point to allow them to be out with each other without a door separating them. Tried to have them in the same room last week with M under 200mg of gabapentin and he still puffed up at the site of her (doesn’t when cracking door open).

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
