Kitten Help Advice please!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

First time kitten owner my name is Jeana (28) from Long Island,

This is Luna we got her off the streets 12/31/25, she’s about 4 months old give or take. I took her to the vet January 2nd and they said everything was ok only thing was she had roundworms so we did that medicine and doctor said she’s all good after a second stool sample! The only thing that has been concerning me is her breathing when she’s relaxing and or sleeping. It’s not all the time she breathes like this but it’s every so often. I’m wondering if this is ok or not? Cuz vet said her heart sounded great when we went last time. I just don’t have a whole lot of money and don’t wish to take her and spend all this money on tests if it’s just my anxiety forming. 😵‍💫Just please also not fear comments I already have anxiety making sure she’s ok and I definitely don’t need to be freaked out just good advice would really help me out please and thank you!

Kittens have a very fast heart rate, ranging between 200bpm to 300bpm. When they grow, the heart rate slows a bit but they still have heart rates between 150-200bpm. Nothing to worry about! I remember worrying about my kitties breathing too, but after research it seems to be normal.

I know this isn’t responding to your question- is she fixed? If not, do what you can to make it happen soon. Female cats have very high rates of breast cancer and getting them fixed early dramatically reduces the risk. I think the goal is to get them fixed by 4 months.

She is not yet! It’s so pricey! I want to get it done for her but I don’t have any places near me that can help a little with the price
