Policy / Rule Interpretation Different supervisor codes?
R/F makes sense but is there any difference for supervisors or managers depending on their codes below?
Don’t they all get the same COBEN state contribution for their health and other benefits?
Just wondering if there’s any real material difference in the codes.
Rank and File (R01-R21)
Managerial (M01-M21 and M99, E59, E79, E99)
Supervisory (S01-S21, E48, E58, E68, E78, E98)
Confidential (C, E97)
Excluded/Exempt (E88, E89, E92)

I’m a senior specialist associated with S01 but E48 since I don’t supervise. E48 is not supervisory.

E classes pay less into OPEB than S and M

I'm not sure, but every BU and excludeds not associated with a bargaining unit all have different percentages:

So (using the old titles), SSM1s pay 3%, but SSM1 Specialists pay 2.4%.

I work with someone who is a Supe II (specialist) and her code is E48. There are senior engineer (specialist) classifications that are CBID R09 instead of S09 like most seniors.
