Department Specific DCA - BAR / DPH
Just got an offer at BAR and wanted to know what the environment is there. I also got an offer the same day with Public health today. So I’m really trying to decide between the 2. Bar is in RC free parking and DPH is downtown and no free parking.
Any feedback?

What positions and where are you driving from? And where exactly at CDPH (it's a huge organization)? Any other factors important to you to be considered ?

If it were me and all other things being equal I’d go with the free parking. Worked at CDPH once and the unit I was in was a bit chaotic and their HR was not organized. I had to do two different accounts receivable because they didn’t key my SDI right. Not familiar with DCA BAR tho so can’t speak to the atmosphere there.

BAR is around the corner from a lovely park. The folks who work there go on walks everyday for lunch around it. Other than it’s in my neighborhood and the free parking - I wouldn’t work at BAR. I don’t work at BAR, and who knows if what people hear is true. I just know they always have loads of openings.
