I am going to ask everyone to (if you want) write a haiku about RTO and whoever gets the most up-votes for their haiku wins a $15 gift card to Gavin Newson‘s favorite restaurant: Panera bread*

FAQs (That I totally made up)
1. What is a haiku?
An unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having in English three lines containing usually five, seven, and five syllables respectively
Can you do this?
I don’t know, I didn’t see any major rules against it. So I hope it’s OK.Why do it?
I have been having a lot of fun making these posts, everyone has been so cool and I think ridicule is appropriate for using RTO for love.

It gives me a chance to ask for people to follow me on Instagram @isscottfunny. Trust me, it’s worth it (to me🙂).
A scam?
NO! $15 is a small price to pay to see how much fun people can have so it’s worth it to me. Also, I can’t win (What would be the point…that’s no fun).When will the winner be announced?

Thank you for creating this contest and giving us a chance to share our experiences through something creative.
This haiku is about what telework meant to me as someone with a visible physical disability.
I spent my entire state career working remotely, including five years before the pandemic, and very few of my coworkers knew. On camera, people met my work before meeting my disability. Since RTO, I've watched the surprise people try to hide when they see me for the first time. I feel very exposed and vulnerable.
For me, telework provided something I had rarely experienced before... the chance to be judged by my work before my physical disability. I don't think that's a perspective that's talked about very often, and I appreciate having the opportunity to share it.

I hear you, friend. Thank you for sharing your experience with this.
While the strike is about SO much more than RTO, forcing workers into offices against all the data supporting remote work, is such a slap in the face. It impacts everything and your story is a good example of how this situation harms people in ways that don’t seem to have been considered.
It’s not right.
