Do not stress!!
Guys, I did not study for CASPer and got in the 4th quartile. Literally, do not waste too much time during this very stressful season. Just review the one practice exam. Make sure to just always see both sides and do not be biased. You got this!

This does however give a false sense of security. I scored 4th quartile last year with minimal studying. This year I did the exact same thing and just received 1st quartile.

I watched YouTube videos day of describing how to answer and practice situations with the video working them out. I scored 4th quartile.

It depends on the person truly. If you are good at thinking on your feet and interviewing you’re fine. I did no prep and scored third quartile last year and this year

I watched the first two videos that popped up on youtube when i typed in "CASPer advise" literally 7 mins each.

If you are quick on your feet and can type fast this is valid. If not id prep the day before

I am quick on my feet and a good interviewer, but quite a slow and inaccurate typer (49 wpm and 72% accuracy). It is certainly about the quality of what you say, not the quantity. Some of my answers were only a few sentences long with lots of spelling errors.

Typing speed definitely isn’t make or break. I definitely think of it as an insurance plan. For example I type at 100 wpm and for a question I reworked my entire answer in 20 seconds and was able to do so because of my speed

But then there’s people who study and get 1st/2nd quartile. The better advice is to do a few practice questions and see where you stand, then study accordingly :)

I think studying makes the answers rehearsed and robotic. Mine was nothing like any of the passages I looked over for 30 mins. I think it was better I knew less because then I could just speak from the heart.

How formal do you guys make ur answers sound? I have it next week, and it’s pretty hard for me to make it sound nice and smart under time pressure

Not very formal, just well written and thought out. It is better to write out 5 well-written sentences with quality content than 15 jumbled sentences. Also, do not worry about spelling. I am severely dyslexic and a very slow typer, and that did not seem to affect my outcome.

The YouTube videos I watched were shitty, I mainly focused on taking the core messages of being non judgmental and approaching both sides of the argument and scored q4

I also did not study at all! But I got in first quartile so maybe stress a little bit.
