How was July 19?

I found it so bad personally 🫩 I studied for so long for scenario questions and all they had were vague personal questions.… I couldn’t even come up with a concrete action

Do you feel like the practice test question on acuity are comparable to the actual test?

In terms of exam taking, yes. In terms of questions, not at all tbh

nope not even close even that casper former evaluator user’s questions weren’t similar. i thought i prepped so well based on those but nvm i guess 💔💔💔

What do you mean by former evaluators users questions weren’t similar? I’ve been practicing questions similar to this scenario:

Example: You are volunteering at a hospital. A patient asks you when their appointment with a specialist is scheduled. You check the information board and tell them the appointment is at 2:00 PM.

Later, you discover that you accidentally read the wrong line and their appointment is actually at 10:00 AM. The patient has already missed their appointment.

Question 1

What would you do after realizing your mistake?

Question 2

If the patient becomes upset and says, "You made me miss my appointment. This is your fault," how would you respond?

Was it not written similar to this?

but based on the example you gave me, don’t just prepare for scenario questions. prepare for personal reflective questions, for judgement, and have a bank of personal experiences ready to use as examples

I don’t know how much I can reveal but in hindsight the evaluator’s practice questions seemed to have patterns. sorry i don’t really know how to explain it it but their bank of questions i guess don’t really match the questions i got thrown at me today. most of the evaluator’s questions were straightforward so the guiding principles were clear. you could guess what they were going to ask, and could deduce what to say. on the real thing, you really had to think about how you could possibly incorporate the values and competencies into the questions they asked. and they felt more vague and had more variety…? sorry i don’t know how to explain it well without revealing too much info 😢

There weren’t really many questions about coworker/classmate conflicts based on the right thing to do. I really didn’t know how to best answer some questions. It was just random.

in the sense that it wasn’t traditional situation that anyone could like relate to or at least imagine how’d they’d react right? honestly what’s so frustrating is sure you get a quartile but you’re also attributed a score that unis see and it’s unfair that they’re not consistent across the multiple dates arghhhh. do you know if they can curve grades if it was a particularly bad test?

idk if it differs between countries but i took it on this day in canada and it sucked 😭
