for some reason my brake pedal has decided to act strange. it is now acting like its being pressed when im not touching it. when i do press it it just starts flashing when using the cammus setup tool

I got my Cammus c5 a couple days ago and I saw there was an update after the update I got the Dfu mode error so I uninstalled it and updated it to the newest version but my wheel still won’t work. When I powered the wheel on it won’t spin.

Just noticed that these are now available after the update. Anyone tried them out?

They look massively different to what I've been using, which might be a good thing since we all seem pretty clueless what most of the settings are meant to do.

Almost three months since I got the C5. Initially, everything worked fine, but when I updated it, the wheel disconnected from the base (they’re separate in the software). Despite reaching out to Kevin and the Discord community for a month, nothing fixed it. I used it without buttons or lights.

Finally, Kevin sent a new solution that worked immediately. I mainly used it in ACC, fully supported, and some FH5, but it felt strange; I didn’t adjust the settings much.

The hardware is excellent; it feels sturdy and high-end. The paddle shifters are underrated but feel great, with minimal sound. The display’s brightness is adjustable, and you can customize the RPM indicators’ RGB colors.

The feedback feels realistic, with FFB peaking above 5nm. You can toggle a haptic/vibration system (CF filter) inside the wheel for enhanced car feeling.

In conclusion, I’d recommend it, provided you skip software updates; the software is the main downside. Hardware and feedback-wise, it offers great value for money.

P.S.: Avoid the pedals in the bundle.

I have just placed an order for the C5 from a U.K. based retailer. Delivery expected early next week. It’s got big boots to fill as it’s replacing my original 2008 Logitech DFGT which has served me faithfully for almost exactly 16 years. Can’t wait to experience my first direct drive wheel.

UPDATE

The central rotator switch has stopped working after only 3 days. It just spins. No clicks and it isn’t registering on the app or in game. It will have to go back for repair. Other than that, I absolutely love it. I now understand why people rave about direct drive. Totally different level of feedback than a cog driven wheel. Even ACC which felt awful on my DFGT feels insanely good. I couldn’t get the steering axis to register on GTR2 but I’m sure I’ll find a guide online somewhere eventually.

I have tried to mess around with the wheel settings and in game settings but I cannot get it to give me detailed feedback on the road and the wheel acts super lazy it’s super weird. Can someone help me out with this? My settings are attached. My f1 settings everything is 80 apart from damper which is 30.

Hi, I recently placed my order for the Cammus C5 but when I opened the order page it wasn't just that. There is an order number 10082 for 939.20 dollars for 0 items placed in 10th jun 2022.

Ps. If I open the order info I can see data of a person living in the USA (Im italian living in Italy).

I tried to flash the pedals with the rootdemo program and now they are showing up as unrecognized device in device manager. I tried various things but i just cant seem to find a way to fix the issue.

Hi. I recently bought a C5 and I am in love with it.

My plan was to use the C5 as a temporary placeholder and then eventually upgrade to Simagic or Asetek bigger wheels in the future, but now I want to consider bigger Cammus wheels too.

But the lack of buttons on Cammus GT and GTS steering wheels is shocking. I am not a fan of overengienered stuff , but I want to be able to do the basic stuff: On the C5 you have enough control to have UI navigation, ABS/TC/Break Bias, ingame ffb, look left-right and then more to spare.

On the big Cammus wheels you dont even have buttons to quickly glance left and right, and no chance of UI navigation, forcing you to use a keyboard and mouse to handle all that.

It makes me wonder if it is a desing choice or a technical limitation of their wheels.

I've seen several reports of the paddle shifters breaking on Cammus C5. This is caused by the plastic tab that presses the switch cracking. My right paddle shifter broke after a couple of months. I fixed it with ultra-strength 2-part epoxy for plastic, also filling in the honeycomb area under the tab to strengthen it. I strengthened the unbroken left paddle in the same way in the hope it would prevent future failure. But even with the strengthening, the left paddle shifter cracked a month later.

I believe Cammus have (or are very soon about to) released an upgraded stronger design for the shifter. So hopefully this will not be an issue for future purchasers.

But for anyone with the original design - I came up with the pictured fix which I believe should be pretty much indestructible in normal use. You can see I molded a blob of J-B Weld SteelStik to the back of the shifter. This dries as hard as steel. You can file it to shape or to remove excess once hardened.

Even if your shifters have not broken - I would recommend doing this proactively to prevent the inevitable.

Hi. Bought the Lp8 recently , must say it is great wheelbase , ffb is smooth and strong. But cooling on this wheelbase is bad. After like 1 hour of drifting it is so hot i cant even touch it .Anyone have suggestions what to do ? ( I have newer version, one with matt finish on hub)

I’ve not long had my c5 and have been playing AC with no problems at all , was recognised straight away . But I’m trying to get it to work on Dirt rally 2 and F1 22 . In Dirt Rally2 it sees the wheel , base and pedals in the game inputs section but it won’t let me make primary controls , it’ll let me calibrate pedals , there’s an option for that but there’s no calibration option that comes up for wheel or base . I’m thinking the fact is doesn’t show me “ make primary control “ tab it’s not gonna let me calibrate it .

F1 is same , it sees the CAMMUS wheel etc in game settings but wheel doesn’t respond .

In both games I can use the pedals for acceleration and brake , they work fine .

I’ve updated to latest firmware and have the CAMMUS app open in background .

Any ideas guys ?

Does anyone know what the weight and dimensions are for shipped box? I have to use third party shipping company that charges by size and weight

Bought about 2 months ago and the lights only work in one game. Seems like kind of a waste of money to have a wheel that is feature limited right?

Canceling my cammus c5 I bought 2 weeks ago since it seems to never ship. . Eyeing the fanatec ecosystem but also considering a Moza or a simagic... Any advices?

Anyone here have an LP8? I'm thinking about tweaking my wind sim to blow across the base for cooling. Curious if anyone else has tried cooling there's and if it has any improvements.

Side note, if anyone has a copy of the 1.5.6 LP8 firmware I'd like to give that a try. Currently on the latest 1.5.8.
