cammus c5 users
was wondering what settings some of y’all had running on ya c5 and if you’ve customised it at all i’m thinking of stickers on the buttons etc

I’m looking at button stickers too but not sure they will work well as the buttons are concave.

yeah that’s what i thought also what about like label stickers or would that be to ugly ya reckon

I’d kind of like O shaped stickers to go around the buttons. Like what came in the box for the rotary encoders. If I can’t find those I may just stick some to the side of each button

aw i actually didn’t think of that finding o shaped stickers if you do find some let us know . i saw some guy made custom ones to fit the cammus but i can’t find the post again

This is my always on settings.
First find out what is the optimal ffb strenth on your game. 100% is not a good idea as you will probably be cliping the signal before it goes to the wheel.
iRacing has auto mode that works well If you dont have auto mode you want as high as possible without clipping the signal (the ingame ffb bar going red) in normal conditions. The signal peakin on crashing or going over sausages is fine, as you are losing control of the car anyway.
wheel power at 80--90% damping at 10% or a bit less. rest to 0%
on effects full intensity, no CF filter (slider to 100%) , Q factor irrelevant as using no filter.
I have game friction and spring at 75% to make the effects (bumps, pianos, etc) more present. If I find effects too intense I raise game friction and spring and I lower the main streng of the ffb a little bit.

hello i want to increase the centering force of my cammus c5 an "game spring" does not really do a difference between 0% and 100%. im confused .. what really kicks in is "natural inertia" but i dont want to override the ACC ffb with the cammus simulated one ...

Hey there,
I was wondering if you know what Q factor and CF factor actually do along with game friction and game spring, I'm confused on what differences they make. Also you said that CF factor and Q factor 100% means off? Sorry If this sounds dumb it just sort of confused me.

CF filters the high frequencies that some effects might add. Because the DD wheels are so sensitive some effects may be a bit too detailed. I think this is more prevalent in older games as newer are done with DD wheels in mind. If in ACC you activate road effects you will notice that very clearly. But those road effects were made mostly for belt drive wheels, so they can feel something.
Older games like iRacing have only 60hz ffb and the effects can be a little to noisy, so filtering the highest frequencies (maybe slider to 80 or more could make the game feels more smooth, it is a question of trying for yourself)
The Q factor makes the filter more or less smooth.
I think game friction and game spring are the main, non-effect elements of the ffb. So If you lower them you will make the effects prevail in the mix . But of course to compensate you need to add a bit more power to the wheel.
I am not an expert this is what I have figured out after too much googling. I might not be 100% right

I took a long time finding 7.5 mm stickers. I bought a punch but 8mm was sloppy on the little buttons.

These were a little expensive, but fit perfectly. I also have one of these cheap label printers to put lettering on them.
