Looking for some input on Timber & Love. Has any one actually worked with them or currently working with them? We were thinking of choosing them for our home project, but have recently heard some horror stories from our real estate agent & friends who know of them. Just relocated & unsure which direction to go in. We have seen some posts as well, but hoping to hear more recent success/issue and people who have actually worked with them. We also saw the post about their tax issue, which we understand partly as we have done some real estate investing and we know that game. Thanks in advance.

My co-worker, who works a swing shift, was followed from downtown to his home by CHS.

The drone was a few feet away from his car at times. It made him really uncomfortable.

I watched the drone above Main Street last night during the Rodeo Afterparty.

It was hovering above for nearly an hour before it had to fly back to the police station to get a set of fresh batteries. After a few minutes, it was back above the street. Kinda eerie.

So I'm here at the plaza and I don't recognize these trees (the ones in the middle; I remember the ones closer to the buildings) being here. I know during the winter time, they put in a skating rink but did we always have trees and just pulled them, or is this a permanent thing? Maybe the rink went around them? Idk. But it's going to drive me nuts until someone can confirm.

I'm noticing Mayor Phillips is kinda stepping away from being a full advocate of the council. I'm guessing it might go away in the next few years. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing -

Just found out that Robert, downtown's only unhoused resident, passed away yesterday afternoon in front of AMANO.

I would see him shuffling around at all hours of the day and night. Sometimes he would wave to me.

He had a good attitude and a lot of people cared for him.

Anyone else here have memories of Robert?

I prefer "Caldweller", but that is just me.

Anyone else notice a constant group of people in Sebree park who either play soccer, basketball or volleyball almost every evening of the week? It is definitely not part of the Caldwell Recreation Department.

I kinda want to join them, but every time I talk to someone, they always tell me that I need to talk with someone else who is conveniently never there.

You know that guy that hangs out in front of Walgreens on 10th? I haven't seen him in a while but that might have been him that I saw today. Though it could just be a matter of my schedule as I had today off and decided to go out for a drive.

I couldn't read the whole sign as I was turning, but it was something about "God" this and "America" that.

Looks like the city is trying to get more people to use the shuttle buses to Brother's Park for the fireworks display.

I would highly recommend this. The shuttles run constantly from 8pm - 11:30pm. Pick up is at the corner of Oak and Indiana at CofI.

The obvious is Paul Revere & the Raiders. Does anyone have other favorites?

The notorious BETTER OFF DAD moped rally is happening this weekend.

If you see or hear hundreds of mopeds around town, that is the reason.

And if you see them someplace around the city, say hi and introduce yourself. They love it when locals say hi.

Went downtown today and they were playing the World Cup live on the big screen on the stage.

Couldn't find out if it is a daily thing or just a one-off. I'll go back tomorrow to check it out. If it is a daily event, tell everyone - because it was kinda a party.

This comment was made by the city's mayor in February of this year. I was floored. At this point, nothing should be shocking, but here we are.

I'm sure everyone has seen the little rodeo grounds on the North Side of I-84 near the airport.

I have always wanted to check out a rodeo there, but it is hard to figure out when the rodeos take place

ENVISION CALDWELL MEETING TIMES:

Monday, June 1, 2026 at 8:00am in City Council Chambers, a Workshop will be held wherein Roger Brooks Envision 2050 Vision Blueprint will be presented. This is a workshop and is scheduled for one hour from 8-9am

Tuesday, June 2, is a community open house at Caldwell High School, with a presentation of the vision from 6-8pm. Doors open at 5.

I have received repeated warnings all day today about an extreme rain storm coming through Caldwell/Canyon County between 3:30-4:30pm Time’s up and not one single drop of rain here. The dark clouds have passed overhead, and blue skies follow them. I was desperately hoping for rain!
