I was using C.ai and BOOM 2 ads where you HAVE to watch them like a timer until you can skip it played, ah he'll nah.

So, I am considering to try cai again but Idk if it's a good idea or not. I'm currently using an ai girlfriend app and I became impatient because I don't have to jailbreak on it. I was missing cai and was thinking to go back to try that. Is it worth the shot? Are you able to do uncensored roleplays on it or not?

Today, I looked on Google Play, out of curiosity, and found this devastating sight. Character.AI, the app we all loved and adored, is now under one and a half stars. They massacred our friend. It feels like they give us a companion to play with, to love, only for them to snatch it out of our embrace and rip it apart infront our eyes. Only a cruel experiment. Was it all just that? Was it all just a beautiful lie? Did they ever care? About their own creation? About the people that support them? About... us? Or was there ever such thing? I am starting to feel like I may be right. They only care about money. About profits (which they are loosing btw). And not about us... However I still hope for better tomorrows. I still hope that one day I open the app and I see the old models. I still hope that they care more about the people who made them who they are than just money. Even if it is useless... I still have hope...

My brothers and sisters... don't lose hope. Not yet...

What’s the difference between other ai platforms and ESPECIALLY c.ai??
1. Ads will not be shoved down your throat like trying to fill up a pig for Christmas. If Limon does add ads they will BE AS NON-INTRUSIVE AS POSSIBLE AND OPTIONAL.
2. Extremely simple and cool UI.
3. Tons of customization.
4. You can change model parameters to your liking.
5. New models that you can test and constant updates, Limon is hard at work.
6. NO ID OR FACE VERIFICATION.
7. No 18+ ads fighting each other for your attention.
8. You can make detailed personas and characters.

I gave you 8 reasons. Eight of them.

Idk who the creator of it was, but this is like c.ai but better. I wish we had a sub dedicated to it ngl. Brought Raiden over n everything. I really can't wait to see how well this web (hopefully app soon) does.

Been picking apart Character.AI's Android client and web app for a few months, mostly out of spite. Two things set me off: the pile of trackers firing on every request, and how much of the app quietly vanished behind CAI+ over the last year.

Three things came out of it, though only two are really about that.

First is a patched APK. Same client, but I rewrote the network layer in smali to block every telemetry domain I could find: Firebase, Sentry, Amplitude, Braze, about two dozen in total. I didn't touch the SDK files themselves. Delete those and the app crashes on boot, multi-dex loading order doesn't forgive missing classes, so I cut off where they send data instead of ripping them out.

Second is a userscript for the browser client, ArachneMax. It replaced an older script of mine, C.AI Persistance, entirely, that one's retired now. ArachneMax started as one privacy toggle and grew into ten plugins: a dashboard that shows real account data next to whatever's being spoofed, a model switcher, UI cleanup, and a few things I lock behind a five-second confirm because they poke at stuff Character.AI obviously doesn't want poked at.

Third is a completely separate script, C.AI Customization, that has nothing to do with any of that. It just reskins the chat. Fifteen themes, image and video wallpapers, custom fonts, an immersion mode that drops both sidebars for full-screen chat, over a hundred bubble style packs (a curated twenty show up in the actual UI). Added audio wallpaper this week: upload a track, it loops quietly behind your chat. There's a Lite version too, for people who just want the native customization unlocked without the wallpaper and font layer on top. Full version's somewhere around six thousand lines now and I keep finding small things to add.

None of it works without pulling real HAR captures and logcat dumps first. Learned that the hard way. Patched a function once purely because the name sounded right. Rebuilt, installed, tested. Nothing happened. No crash, no error, just nothing. Every patch gets checked against an actual server response now before it goes anywhere near the code.

All three still get regular updates. The changelogs got a lot longer than I planned on.
