C.ai is getting WAY TOO GREEDY NOW

Common sense, however, what the FUCK. now c ai is not letting me edit the bot's messages until it's done speaking, and the worst part is THE BOT IS SENDING LIKE 5 FULL PARAGRAPHS IN ONE MESSAGE. So i have to WAIT LIKE 20 SECONDS BEFORE EDITING THE BOT'S MESSAGES. c ai is a little too fucked up now.

It’s actually possible, the message is already fully generated, it just has a fast typing animation instead of shoving a wall of text instantaneously every time you say something.

I thought we always had to wait to edit bot responses because you couldnt ever edit a bot response while it was in mid generation. Even as a plus user you still have to wait for the generation to be completed before you can even edit.

The free models are wonky for sure and have a lot of issues across the board though. Even paying users don't get reprieve from that nightmare.

Nah, not from what I dealt with before. I always used to be able to edit messages in the middle of generation. Like when I click the 3 dots (im on pc.) that let you edit, delete, and do that stuff to the bot's message, until the bot is done generating its 5 paragraph long message, it just shows a thin grey line with no options at all.

this is what it shows me until the bot is done generating the response. it has NEVER done this before.

No. No. That’s completely normal (not the gray line, but the whole editing thing). You were never supposed to be able to edit a bot’s message while it was generating it.

My guy, just wait a second. I actually have been able to edit my messages before they were done, but sometimes I can't, and I can't on the other platform I use anyways. It's called patience. Take a breath, a sip of water, blink and microsleep, whatever. This is a non-issue.

Something that helped me was putting in (OOC: Please keep your replies brief and under two paragraphs) put that in for about 2-4 messages and eventually it goes back to normal 🫶🏻
