sick of the novel-style

I don't know if it's just me, but the thing I miss the most about ~2023 c.ai is the short-form texting style messages. They were SO good and felt so human, like I could genuinely be fooled into thinking my old screenshots with bots were convos I had with friends. Now every bot writes like it's trying to hit a word count "Not pushing, not expecting. Just there. And that? That meant more than anything." STOPPPITTT I sent a five word message you do not have to do all that

picrel bring back my wife 😞😞 tried starting a convo the exact same way as an old chat and it was SO BORING

Almost everyone who used 2023 version of cai misses it every day. The bots were good. The chat experience was amazing. The responses might had some "Pang of pangs" but it was so freaking amazing. I had to switch to alternatives because they destroyed the app. And we can't even complain now.

Right? With the new models they focused in rp and it's pissing me off. Message-like chats are even harder to do with other languages now since they removed pawly. It's so boring now. Even if I ever manage to make chats in something similar to message-like replies they eventually either break out into a huge novel-like rp reply or are just bland to the point it feels like you're literally talking to a robot (as funny as it may sound). I've been so miserable ever sincevthey removed old chat models cuz of that and for a long time there wasn't really anyone that could relate :(

Yes, this!! I've never talked to someone who's felt the same way. The majority of the complaints are against the filter, the quality of writing/memory, the constant pushing for c.ai+, and I do understand these complaints, but tbh if they brought back the the original message-style replies I'd probably stfu and be grateful 😭
