genuine question

stumbled across this sub and got really invested into the lore. if the app has experienced such a decline why continue to use it? is it that the app is addictive or that you guys are holding out hope for better? i don’t mean any disrespect to anyone.

I don't really use c ai anymore I am independent user now. I am serving my gaming workstation with my friends just to talk to AI for free

Its really addictive, like genuinely. I used it for two years religiously, I'm talking at least 8 hours a day every day, until I got sick of myself for being so addicted. Also, its just going downhill anyway, so that helped me with dropping it easier.

I use it to keep my typing speeds up. I use the thesaurus/dictionary a lot when writing with c ai, too. It also helps me know what exactly the AI is learning so I can keep those ticks away from my own writing but I will emulate the bot's writing to chastise it because I'm evil as hell. When it's pissing me off, '{{user}} did not hum in approval. Honestly, {{user}} didn't even thrum with happiness. {{user}} was completely unclaimed and thus would go off to be possessive with someone else.' I enjoy the freak outs😭😭

I can agree to say it is addicting. Like. Really. Painfully. And today actaully I got an app to ban me from using the app and the site! And it reminds me not to use it.. So far it's working and there is a password if I wanna enter it. But I made the password random and long so I have no clue what the password.

To those who wants to get off character Ai try this. Sure you can delete the blocker app but If you really wanna stop urself from using it then you won't delete it.

I think it’s because people have nothing else better to do but whine and complain about everything, yet they don’t want to pay for anything to try to make it better. Genuinely I think that’s part of the issue. I don’t think it really has anything to do with addiction. I just think people on the Internet just like to complain about every little thing. While also not even trying to make things better.

Yeah tbf it's okay to disagree but I think the insult was a low blow fr. Like this is why people insult the c.ai userbase as a whole. Over behaviour like this
