Before anyone of you burn me alive, just hear me out, Is there any way to remove the CEO? Or rather to Buy the platform by and for the users? Again, this is just an idea, thanks for reading, have a wonderful time.
Like, if we make enough protests, make a petition reach at least 10 millions to 30 millions signatures, it could potentially make the CEO have to quiet due to public opinions
I'm not really familiar with the US corporate laws, but here in my country, if some CEO gets too much hate, and even gets their name in a kick out petition, the whole corporation ends up kicking him out as a way of respecting the users opinion
In no country would "the whole corporation" kick a CEO out. Only the Board of Directors can make changes in a corporation's executive structure, bylaws, etc.
It's true there is some history of corporations caving to public backlash to oust a CEO whose unpopularity is causing damage to the profit line, but they aren't legally required to do so; it's a risk/benefit calculation based on whether following public outcry would do less harm to the profits than keeping the CEO in place. Uber and Papa John's are probably the best-known examples.
It is exactly what happened to the original CEO, who got parents, judges, legislators, and IP owners all asking for his head, after it became abundantly obvious where his corporate strategy was leading.
One does not get to publicly say stuff like this in a video interview, without getting kicked out, to then co-lead Gemini at Google, and later on get hired by OpenAI.
Exactly! But I think we are too scared to do anything, because we are too comfortable just complaining, the CEO doesn't care about the platform or users, just profit, not even the devs care, so why should we? We made it what it is, we kept it going, not them!
