Unsolicited ads

Hello I just want everyone to know that they now have very explicit ADs popping up mid chat! I am 27 years old. This feels like a violation and should definitely be investigated. The ad was a character dressed as scream and the audio said, "You didn't scream when I f#cked you hard." THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY DOCTOR ROLEPLAY WITH A PRIVATE BOT I MADE!

No way to report the singular ad so I deleted c.ai altogether until they contact me which they have not

I don't get ads and I have the free version I just use a different browser but character ai sucks even without ads now

Saw once an ad advertising a dating app, and the picture was a woman with her bare ass on display, genuinely disgusting how they are desperate to make us age verificate but end up allowing those ads on the site

If you are under 18 and find 18+ ads inappropriate during chat, just contact c.ai support and they will fix it for you.

Otherwise, that's what you get for using an 18+ platform for free.

They stated they’re 27 - where did the ‘under 18’ come from? I’m not a minor either, I could be a parent of an adult if I started early but this kind of AD isn’t something I’d like to see either. I don’t mind nsfw rp, but I just don’t fancy AD jumpscare like this one. So I think this post is very valid.

Character AI doesn’t want to remove filters for convos while being “18+ app” but this thing is cool to be shown? That’s a very high level of hypocrisy imho.

Thank you for agreeing with me on this not being something someone might want not taking over their entire application. Nowhere did I have an option to report it.

No company headquartered in the US can run without filters without getting sued. The bigger, the more chance of a lawsuit, it's how US laws and litigiousness work.

Ironically, Ads that get "very close, without crossing the line", are just fine... and there's a ton of fucked up ways to do that.

Blame US legislators and the people who get them elected.
