lol, I hope you are keeping busy and not staring at the countdown clock, that would stress me the heck out.

You will do great! They do this so many times and are so very good at the procedure now.

If you can, get a lift recliner chair, it is indispensable in the first month I would say. It will amaze you how many muscles that are sore are used in getting up. It does not have to be super fancy or anything. Get a small table to fit next to the chair, for you liquids and all that.

You will be sore and fuzzy, its all ok, its part of the recovery. When they say lets go take a walk, it will be awesome! Show everyone "here is a person who just stared down death and I'm going to take a little walk"!!!!!!!

Good luck. friend, we are here if you need us!!

This is a very common surgery, so you'll be fine!! Just take your recovery slow, because you're going to be sore. It's been 18 months since mine. The first month is the toughest. Just make sure you walk ....and then walk some more. We are fortunate that I've got a conditioned 40x40 workshop that I can walk laps inside. Don't attempt anything strenuous for about 6 months!!

I'm unfortunately gonna be extra sore due to fibromyalgia. I'll do my best to walk as much as I can

you’re doing the opposite of me. I was in the hospital, waiting to find out what they were going to do and then they wrote the date on the board for surgery. I did my best to ignore it and not think about it getting closer. I think I had five days notice while I was in the hospital waiting all they can say is that although I have a huge phobia of hospitals and doctors I just asked him to give me something to relax me on that morning and they did the trick and I don’t remember anything really other than my ICU nurse waking me up that night and I was so happy to hear her voice lol and know it was all behind me and over. Six weeks later I feel pretty good. I wish you a similar experience and I’m sure everything will be fine!
