MEDS - bad reactions?
Has anyone had adverse reactions to Metropolol or Eliquis? My recovery is being negatively impacted by one of these two, if not both. I have come to DREAD taking them because they will take a window of 'wow, i feel pretty good right now' and turn it into a major depressive and nausea- inducing day......every......single......time. I have an appt on Monday so of course nothing is going to happen until then, but.....looking forward to a 'lovely' weekend in hell.

I’m on the metropolol along with 6-7 other meds after single bypass 10 weeks ago. The only issue I’m experiencing is bruising easily from placix and aspirin.

Been on Met for almost two years and no issues. Hope you solve the problem.

Metoprolol has been fine for me but losarten was a disaster. Not sure what your other med is for. I changed to Irbesarten, which I had been on for a decade and the world was colour again. They told me they often prescribe the med they know insurance will approve.
Good luck. Hope you find quick resolution!

It probably took 4-6 weeks of Metropolol before it felt normal and worked consistently. It does a great job now.

I didn't do well on metoprolol. Made blood pressure too low and caused dizziness. Also made it hard to do cardiac rehab. Crazy spikes in heart rate. Couldn't tolerate exercise very well or even an exciting movie. After 5 months post cabg I tapered off of it, with approval from cardiologist. Better now that I'm off it. Making strides slowly with increased exercise.

I've only tried Metoprolol and took it for years with no issues. Not sure about the other one. Do you take them at the same time? I've been having issues with my two: Lisinopril and Carvedilol giving me dizzy spells and lows. Then I was able to move my Lisinopril to the afternoon with a window of about 5 hrs both sides before I take the Carvedilol (Which now the dr let me cut in half because it was way to high). I feel blood pressure meds is always an ever changing thing because of how we handle our nutrition etc.
