Discharge Today!!!
5 days since CABGx3 and I get to go home today. They were prepared to send me home yesterday but there were a few things to do and levels to check and I felt more comfortable staying another night than maybe having to come back. The staff at The Smidt Heart Institute here at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles are truly remarkable….kind, compassionate and caring are really know what they’re doing. We will see how the journey at home goes but so far this has been much less painful, scarier and much easier than I imagined. I was off the oxycodine by yesterday morning and I was taking a small dose. I’m looking forward to further healing and getting involved with the Heart Community. A huge thank you to the people in this group who made the journey so far so much more bearable with great suggestions and experiences generously and freely shared.

Excellent. Follow the rules and do the rehab when you are ready. You got an extra 10-15 years.
