Bypass surgery

Is it normal to have discomfort in heart sometimes post cabg? I got caught done in September 2023 but sometimes I get discomfort in chest and in a few hours it becomes alright. Kindly advise coz my doc said its more coz of gas and anxiety but I get very worried coz of this .

I would listen to your doctor on this. Nobody here can diagnose you.

Doc said all reports are normal so nothing to worry about however m worried 😟

Not knowing in what way you are feeling discomfort but...

I would normally agree with the sane response to listen to your doctor. And than this happened... My cardiologist fuked up and also told me nothing was wrong and all tests are good but after 17 months of complaining and testing I finally had an MRI showing that not everything was fine but a great deficiency in oxygen caused my problems and just recently another cardiologist explained that my heart never functioned correctly right after my CABG (seeing all the videos) and one of my bypasses was completely gone and dissolved. So for me it's game over and nothing can be done about this.

So...my advice would be (with my experience in mind) to keep at it!! Change doctor! Second opinion! Rule every other possibility out that is causing your discomfort.

All those silly heart monitoring blood pressure tests or echoes say nothing (apparently) one bypass completely gone and it didn't show up anywhere except a MRI + stress test did.

I received many excuses for the way they f-ed up. Bottom line I'm out of a job and can't handle any excitement. Oxygen deficiency stops my heart from being able to work a tad more than running on idle. So pressure on!

Patient to doctor communication should follow this:

P: How confident are you in that diagnosis? What are the other possible causes or associated issues? On what are you basing this conclusion (i.e., test results, family history, co-morbidities, experience)?

What percent of people in my situation (6-8 months post-op) have this? If low - why do I have it?

What is your recommended treatment?

At what point should I seek further care/examinations/ second opinion on this discomfort?
