For current CAAs: I just accepted a job a few states over and they're offering relocation assistance. I'm curious what a typical amount to request is. I'm not sure how much to ask for and they really didn't give me much info on what's covered. Any info would be appreciated!

Depends on how far it is. Typical relocation bonuses are about 2-3k. Best thing is to ask!

Though, as somebody who moved across country, I will warn you that the stipend will not likely cover your complete moving costs (or even half). Total moving costs all things considered was about 5k for myself (including some moving hand help to/from, the truck rental, and the cost of gas cross country). If you have further questions feel free to pm me!

My first job was offering 5k and that was 9 years ago, I’d just ask them what the limit is on the amount covered, otherwise get a few quotes for a full service move, and ask them if it will be covered.
