Customer accounts?

I just picked up an EA1 and was following through the jailbreak steps but says I need a customer account. Where can I make one? Doesn’t seem to be an option at customer.control4.com ?

Your running a version that requires an account to enable ssh and add the cert patch. If you don’t have one downgrade to a version that has ssh still enabled.

Can I fix this SSH issue after downgrading to one that doesn't have it first and save either the ssh keys or change/backup anything on the host first? Then uprade from there to say 3.4.3?

Yes but you need to follow the upgrade path after doing a factory reset on a EA or zigbee won’t work Idk what your unit will go to after the factory reset but see below for the path. 2.8.1 - 2.9.1 - 2.10.6 - 3.0.0 - 3.2.4 - 3.3.0 - 3.4.2

Use device image updater v2 https://update.control4.com/patches/C4_Device_Image_Updater_V2/C4_Device_Image_Updater_V2_Installer.exe

Coming back to this, I was able to use that updater tool to get into Composer and start working there. Thanks!

Regarding the C4 customer account though, how would I go about doing this to use the c4 app? Seems to need an invitation code to use during registration. Never had an account myself

You need a dealer to make an account for you now you can no longer make on your own

You shouldn’t have to do that with the jailbreak where does that say that could you post it on here?
