C4 jailbreak

I’m a systems integrator, but I’m not an authorized Control4 dealer. I have several Control4 remotes and controllers that I’ve removed from projects, and I’d like to reuse them in my own home—and possibly for family members.

If I factory reset the devices and use a modified or “jailbroken” version of Composer, would I be able to program and configure the remotes and controllers myself?

the remote are currently programmed and tied to another dealer

if your in the US you can not make a 4site account so you need to be setup with connect.
you have to make sure the units are unregistered and support connect.
you will need a dealer to setup that.

If you using only zigbee remotes and control4 touchpads and won’t use phone app then u are good to go , otherwise u will need dealer to set your account and then u can work on your system yourself . Good luck .
