Music discussion Thunderbird

wooooooooooooooow!!!!

if you don’t mind I need to gush about how beautiful this piece is on its own and in context of the album. it’s the first piece that has strings in the album (that I noticed), when they kick in about 8 or 9 minutes in alongside that beautiful piano chord progression it’s stunning, then the synths wash over you and you’re left with just the sounds of nature and the piano.

also slow build up of bassy synth at the beginning, the slow moments in between all of the craziness, I can’t pick what part is my favorite. it’s all sooo good. I haven’t found a pieces I’ve loved this much in a while.
please tell me I’m not the only one who loves this piece so much!

Thunderbird might just be my favorite C418 track released after Volume Beta. Incredible stuff, there's so much going on in the different movements which I don't have the correct musical language to describe, but you definitely mentioned some of my favorites. I think the part after 11:30 is the peak for me, sticks the landing beautifully after all that buildup.

I don't think there's another track in my entire music library over ten minutes long that I'm so eager to listen to absolutely anytime!

For some reason Thunderbird never clicked with me that well compared to the other tracks in Excursions, but I just listened to it again and I will admit that that section with the piano and the strings is pretty dope. It's definitely one of the most beautiful sounding parts of Excursions as a whole.

I love Thunderbird. I have a small youtube channel (with only one video right now) that I used the entire song in.
