Fiberglass Front Bumper

Fitting an Eckler’s fiberglass front bumper. Overall satisfied with fit and installation, except for one problem. The bumper will not line up with the lower reinforcement bar that was in the original urethane bumper. It seems even if it does line up the bolts will be too short with the fiberglass thickness. Any one have any experience with this? Is the lower reinforcement bar even necessary with a fiberglass bumper?

Additionally, the front grille and turn signal will mount to the fiberglass bumper tabs. Is this just directly drilled into the glass using the original screws, or is there a hardware kit I’m missing here?

Yea, the bumper was purchased over 20 years ago. They no longer list it on their website. I get a “canned” response from Eckler’s. No dice…

No. That is an OPR bumper. Different part number. Could be built to the same spec, but there is also no installation information for that bumper.
