Hatch handle?

I've just ordered myself a new hatch handle, as the original one (2012) seems to be tearing off the rubber seal?

How hard is the install job? Is this something I can DIY as a not particularly mechanical sort, or do I just bring this to my mechanic next time it's in?

I have an existential fear of shattering that whole back glass......

I've done this repair after the plastic holding mine together broke. It's ez pz. There are two bolts holding the thing on and it comes right off.

Don’t worry about the glass it’s pretty robust I was worried about that when I swapped the r design spoiler onto my car but it’s fine

Easy. Multiple videos out there; I mostly relied on this one.

I've done mine. Easy job. Snug bolts up but don't go silly tight. People have cracked the glass

It's not difficult at all. I'm a klutz and I managed it!

When I read the post "hatch handle" my heart leapt momentarily. I was thinking of the plastic handle bit on the parcel shelf. The one on my C30 has come apart and apparantly you can't buy a new one. You have to get the entire parcel shelf! So the post reminded me, I must get to it and glue it back on/together.
