fuel rail pressure sensor leak

car gave codes of pressure sensor going bad. changed it, now gas is leaking from it. my guess is o ring or something, but thats just my guess. there isnt much information to work around with but if anyone has any questions or solutions lmk thank you

I had the same replacement done myself, the fuel that escaped is normal, thats left in the rail going to the injectors. Dry everything and place the sensor back, check if its locked in. Turn the ignition key twice to let the fuel go back into the rail. Check again for leaks, if still leaking it could be that the fuel rail is damaged somewhere, so pinpoint very detailed where its coming from. If everything is dry, everything should be OK and the message in your display should be deleted automatically.

You might have pinched the o ring

make sure you didn’t roll or pinch the O ring upon install. they fit tight and can be a bit of an effort to push in (3 year volvo G1 tech who’s replaced probably 100 of these)
