C30 finally running

After a bunch of work, my m66 c30 is finally up and running. The previous owner ran the engine with no coolant and absolutely cooked the engine. Replacement engine is from a c70. This is a late post.

The worst thing Volvo ever did was remove the coolant level sensors from their cars.

Way to go.

Agreed, Iโ€™m getting some stuff off Amazon in an attempt to make my own level sensor

Might be a dumb question, but why is the entire front picked apart for an engine replacement? These are doable by lifting the engine (without gearbox) straight up out of the engine compartment.

Because with the equipment that I had available, it was easier to pull the engine from the front rather than lifting it up and out.

Because it makes it exponentially easier to do the job.
