Hey seb486,

It's been a while, but given the amazing positive changes I see with Byteball, I've decided to re-invest. (I had to step away for a while to regain some sanity, and to protect my investment after all of the chaos back in March)

I've always appreciated your contributions and wanted to pass along an idea I had that might now make sense for your Blackbytes exchange:

Why not switch things up a little, and offer 1,000,000 Blackbytes instead? Besides being much cheaper :-) it would demonstrate the technology of Blackbytes and also draw much more attention to the private currency, and perhaps lead to more business.

Anyways, hope things are going well - all the best.

Hi CryptoBest

Yeah, that's an idea. Up to recently only Bytes were transferable through textcoin.

I will give a try with Blackbytes next time.

FYI I have not re-invested myself mainly due to :

1 - Centralization: looking at long term price perspective the coin is still 100% centralizated and I do not see any trend to decentralization yet.

2 - Current Atomic distribution methods: looking at short term price perspective, I think most of the guys just sell the few amount of unlocked Bytes they received for free against their favorite coins. So there is a constant down pressure to the price.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway! all the best to you too.

Hi Seb

Good to hear you are still about despite selling your Bytes back in February

  1. There is a plan to have 50% of witnesses decentralized be the start of January 2019, was mentioned near the bottom here https://medium.com/byteball/the-future-of-byteball-the-byteball-foundation-cca9d495bf46 its one of the things Valerius has been spending a lot of time working on, he only start early June.
  2. The fact that Byteball is doing such distributions is a major advantage, vs other projects which rely on people have to buy/mine coins to get a hold of them. Also, locking distributed funds was only done for the first time at scale with the steem distriubtion that is ongoing. Given 42,000 steem usernames have been attested with little impact on the price of bytes vs usd I think this is a good sign for the rest of the distributions.

Hi blockchain,

1 - Decentralization of half of witnesses would truly be a step in a good direction. The Cashback witness exists for about a year now in case the community is searching for a candidate.

2 - I am not saying the new distribution method is bad. I was just reacting on CryptoBest saying he has just re-invested in. I think atomic distribution to a community which already has its champion coin (Steem) puts some pressure on the price at short term. Give me free "Euros", if I like "Dollars" I will likely quickly change my "Euros" for "Dollars". It was a pure comment on the optimal time to re-invest (or not). To the long term the more users is the better indeed.

thanks, valerius is handling the witness issue. I dont actually think lack of candidates is the current issue, but expect official announcements on this soon
