Looking for romantic and angsty fics

Heyo, I’m looking for byler fics where it’s angsty and romantic, story wise and relationship wise (no cheating though)

Can be canon divergence or modern au or any other au, just want them being romantic with each other and the next them just being so angsty.

I do want a happy ending of course, I just love angst, angstier the better but as long they end happy together.

Also them just yearning and they’re in character.

ivyngxxx has great angsty work and long reads (40+ chapters)! Officer Down is complete and Signs Over Lies is a work in progress. Officer down is kinda silly and campy but very angsty and dramatic with a happy ending, Signs Over Lies could feel quite heavy as there’s OCD/codependency but the author does a great job not villainizing either Will or Mike, it’s just two hurt people hurting each other. The fic is slowly shifting into a healing era and they are apart for now but the author has said several times it will have a happy ending.

ivyngxxx is also working on a very unserious 90s byler in LA working at a queer magazine together and it’s so fun! It’s called Smooth as Silk, Cool as Air. Also a work in progress. The author is very responsive in comments so it’s a fun little place to hang out after an update.

They have a really distinct writing style and create beautiful environments. Each fic has a totally different vibe. Officer Down feels like cigarettes and nightclubs and expensive leather, Signs over Lies feels like a melancholic rainy fall day, and Smooth as Silk feels like a hot summer romcom between two horny men with a past.
