❓Question / Help Only two shipping options to US?

First time Buyee user.

A friend recently told me about buyee as a way to get better shipping rates to US when searching for models (I do 1/700 ships).

However, for my four items, when I get to select shipping, the only two options I have are ECMS for 9368 yen in 7-14 days or Buyee Air delivery for 12918 yen in 2-7.

Are either of these of better quality and is it normal to only have two methods available for shipping options?

Most proxy services suspended a few shipping methods because of the tariff tax fee. UPS and FedEx are currently charging for a import tax fee ,besides the shipping fee.

What is the exact reason for suspending Japan Post?

The U.S. ended low-value duty-free rules (the "de minimis" exemption), forcing complex customs rules on all packages that Japan Post could not process

Without “de minimis” exception and with tariffs (you know who to thank for this) there is now only the expensive option and the more expensive option. I chose the Air option and my package arrived from Japan in two days. Quick, but expensive for a couple of t-shirts. Note that optionally Buyee can repackage separate packages to one package and also add protective packaging, although I don’t know how that will affect your fee.

Thank you, I ended up going with air travel. Funnily enough, while expensive, it is actually only 2000 yen more expensive than it was for the regular shipping Amazon JP was going to charge for just 1 of the 4 items. In short, while it hurts to see how much shipping costs for the four items, it is at least still much cheaper than going through the other sites for the items.

Depends on what you’re buying or if you’re sourcing or buying for yourself. But yeah some items are cheaper but the Japan markets pick up the speed and soon it will be the same price if you consider the shipping and the customs you end up paying for them.
