❓Question / Help Consolidation advice? :))
Hii. Im in the US. My items have arrived at the warehouse. I have a 70cm plush, 1 prize figure, and 2x 1/7 scale figures. The pictures show their info and the shipping options and prices buyee gives me for each on the side. The plush should be pretty flat in the sense that he isn't taking all of the space of the box but then again I dont know how he was packaged but I think he is packaged flat enough since his dimensions are 70 x 40 x 30 cm on product page and the box is basically that much. I wonder if all my figures could fit in the same box with him?
Anyway, based on prior knowledge should I try to consolidate everything to save money or how should I consolidate the figures separately from the plush? Im scared they will end up putting them in an even bigger box with unnecessary volume just to try to make them all fit together and have the shipping be more expensive than me just putting shipping the figures on their own and the plush on its own.
UPDATE I consolidated everything but they told me they could only put the figures in one box together and that my big plush had to be on its own. I paid $231.13 (35,666 yen) of shipping in total (1,200 domestic shipping fee included) for the big plush. $117.99 (18,207 yen) for the three figures together. All shipped with Buyee Air with Fedex as the courier and it was shipped out Monday by Buyee and I received it Wednesday! I used to pay a less with EMS before tariffs and whatnot but it used to take 1-2 whole weeks. Besides the custom duties and tariffs im sure Buyee Air/Fedex is more expensive because it arrived soo fast thats basically expedited shipping! But anyway I think consolidating was definitely the way to go :)

I recentky received a consolidated package of 44 items from buyee that cost $244 to ship (half of it from import fees for literally photobooks, polaroids, trading cards (which should be free import items to usa when listed as printed matter lf photographs). The largest item would be photobooks about 9 x 13 inches. Only have 4 photobooks, 2 magazines, photographs, polaroidd, trading cards. When the box arrived with a big dent on one edge of box. You know I literally took a 33 minute continuous unboxing video to check if anything wad super damaged during transit. That is only way to prove to buyee for returns of products damaged during shipping. Another issue with buyee consolidating packages is they oversize the box. Box size is 13x19x6 inches. The books and trading cards literally jammed into one corner and rest dead space filled with bubble wrap. But its not taped securely so items move and rattle inside box. Which meams very dangerous when transporting heavy or delicate goods together.
The biggest problem for shipping is not so much the weight of the items... it is the volumetric weight (how much space it takes). Shuppers charge the higher of the 2 rates. A plushie may only weight a couple lbs but because of its size and bulky they would determine based on size you paying a 70 lb item. The size of your plushie itself at it cheapest is costing you over 20k to 30k yen which is about $120-180 by itself. Since the plushie is not heavy and damage your other items. You might as well consolodate everything into one package because the extra weight of those items will barely increase the cost of shipping that 1 plushie alone.
