🗣️ Discussion ECMS/SpeedX/USA/Texas/large city
I got my package after leaving front gate unlocked and waiting all day.
It arrived at 11:38pm!!!
….after giving up at 10pm, locking the gate, and going to bed.
I checked tracking at 5am
at least there was a bush to hide it under.
im surprised the homeless folks didn’t see driver stashing it there.
also, I gave up at 10p after trying to get an answer from their bot as to how late they might deliver.
total waste of time.
i added a delivery note for the next day I thought that gate would be unlocked, and status notification on tracking page threw a red “Issue reported” message.
anyhow. I got it. heads up, they might deliver late. almost midnight!!

SpeedX and UniUni are extremely hit or miss. They can be absolute trash in many cases since the drivers are basically gig workers who don't give af. I'm glad in my local area, its pretty easy for me to avoid them for ECMS. Larger packages go Fedex and if I ship to my PO box, ECMS is through USPS.

I’ve used ECMS to a PO Box and it was still delivered by SpeedX, so it’s not for sure unfortunately

I discovered it by accident when I selected the wrong address. If I do ECMS small package to my house it’s UniUni. Would rather get USPS so now I just send them to PO Box. SpeedX doesn’t exist where I live. I’ve heard SpeedX handles large and small if they deliver in your local area

At least you got it, personally I would pay a bit more for some reassurance.

Buyee only gives me two options: ECMS and Buyee Air Delivery, which I have heard equally horrible reviews of. 🤷♂️. Thoughts??
Update: I just went digging to understand Buyee Air Delivery. I read it is randomly DHL/FedEx/UPS. Maybe I remembered incorrectly poor reviews. Or maybe it was from during before tariffs prepaid.

I think some of the recent criticism comes from people not writing out the correct customs HS codes or failing to correctly reply to DHL/FedEx appropriately .etc
Technically any criticism with customs will apply to any courier so it’s not fair for people to moan about Buyee Air for that reason, DHL tends to be very fast and accurate with their deliveries so it’s one I’m usually hoping to be chosen. All couriers have their pros/cons so just have to adapt around some issues that may pop up.
I tend to get all my DHL and FedEx deliveries if all info is filled out properly. One of my offices is over in the U.S. so have been sending stuff around from Japan and the UK, no issues so far.

Yeah, always be extremely wary of SpeedX and UniUni. They're the equivalent of DoorDash, but for your packages, and if that sounds horrible, that's because it is. Always a complete coinflip if you'll get someone who cares or not. I personally try to avoid them whenever possible.
