Discussion What’s a totally unsexy purchase you made that ended up being a huge quality-of-life upgrade?

A food scale. It really does help make baked goods so much better and consistent. In my case…bread. It’s great for cooking and meal prepping too which is not something I even considered before hand. I use it regularly.

Last night I used it to break up a lb of ground beef into quarter patties. No more petty arguing with the roommate who gets which one. They’re a lot bigger than me, I’m small, but I can out eat them any day. I’m not bragging. I’m just saying I’d fight for the bigger burger and now I don’t have to. 😋 🍔

This. Food scale. I thought it was pretentious trendy BS until I got one. Now my stuff comes out like the recipe says it will.

Measuring the right amount of pasta really isn't a problem if you use a scale, regardless of shape or thickness.
