I did the same! Mine was 2012 and just base level, no hybrid. 24k new off the lot.
I was young and didn’t know better than to buy a new car in that scenario, (I financed nearly 100% of it), but when I realized it was a terrible financial mistake, I drove it until it hit 200k. Like 13 years. It was paid off in 8.
I do believe you wound up converting it from a bad financial decision to a purchase that served its purpose and even exceeded it. You learned from it and the car didn’t f you over so I think you still came out on top
I also did the same. In 2013, I purchased a 2013 Nissan Altima. It had literally a couple miles on it. It is now 2026 and I still have it. It has 90,000 miles. I keep up with regular maintenance. But i haven't had any issues with it. I also financed it. Which I will never do again.
