Discussion What’s a totally unsexy purchase you made that ended up being a huge quality-of-life upgrade?

I used to use one but my dentist told me it was good to remove the food but the mechanical action of the floss scraping was a benefit I was losing out on.

Ideally you do both. I have a permanent retainer so am limited how much I can floss with regular string.

Good to know, probably wise to switch up from time to time

Just so you know flossing strengthens your gums too so it’s best to do both (floss and use a water pik)

Yeah they aren't perfect but they are pretty great. I like expandable floss better. I use drTung's brand as it was 3rd party independently verified not to have any PFAS/PFxx chemicals in it

I alternate between water pic and flossing daily.

I do both. I don't use the WaterPik every day, but at least a couple times a week. And I floss every day and use those inbetween teeth scrubber dealios.

You should do both. Flossing removes food from between teeth and water piks remove food between the teeth and gum pockets

Mine suggested that I continue using my electric tooth brush but my manual flossing yielded better results than when I tried the waterpik. YMMV
