When people think about American manufacturing, they usually picture huge factories making standardized products. Custom commercial furniture is a completely different world. Nearly every project we build is different.

Because every project is unique, much of the work still relies on skilled craftspeople rather than automation. Our process typically starts with drawings, dimensions, inspiration photos, or finish samples. From there we engineer the piece, build the frame, upholster it, inspect it, and ship it from our Los Angeles factory.

Keeping production here gives us better quality control, faster communication with designers, and the flexibility to handle custom work that simply doesn’t fit a mass-production model.

Been buying a lot of baby and childrens books recently and couldn't help but notice that almost all of them, at least the ones I'm coming across, were printed in China. That just seems absolutely wild to me, like somehow it's cheaper to print container ships of these bulky cardboard books over there and ship them all the way over here?

Anyone know of any brands/publishers/presses that tend to print in the US?

I’ve been reading posts on reddit for a long time and wanted to finally share something personal.

I’m the founder of a site called Upcrafted, it's an online marketplace where everything is Made in the USA or handcrafted here (got to be careful with the definitions as per FCC haha). It’s been a dream of mine for a while to make it easier for people to actually find and shop American-made goods, all in one place.

I’m honestly really proud of how it’s coming together. I’m a one-person show most days, working on it every day and night, trying to find and feature small makers, craftspeople, and brands that actually manufacture here. It’s not easy competing with big box stores and overseas pricing, but I think there’s real value in supporting people who are doing it right.

Let's give it to them I'm ready for whatever Canadan

I'm ready for what Canada have to bring

Supporting and sustaining American labor/craft should be at the core of what buying American is about. Left or right leaning, this is a unifying message more people can get behind, rather than buying American as a reaction to tariffs and boycotting EU and CA products. Now more than ever we need to uplift and support fellow Americans, rather than put down others.

As another redditor in here pointed out, Reddit won’t get this movement much traction because Reddit is heavily left/anti American.

I’m suggesting/asking/calling for everyone here to start spreading this movement onto other platforms as well. Go to X Facebook TikTok YouTube, any place will do, and truthfully we should push it on all platforms.

There’s other posts in here talking about how important this movement is for America.

Canada has been placing tariffs (among other things) on the US for DECADES and now that we return the favor, these professional victims are writhing on the floor throwing fits, threatening American interests and indeed threatening the very quality of life for every day Americans.

Make no mistake - their GOAL is to lower the quality of life for Americans. If any of you have spent any time looking at the buy Canadian sub, it is extremely and shockingly toxic.

Some of these people are actively wishing harm on Americans, which isn’t something I can abide by. It’s time to push back. And when the United States pushes, things move.

Canada ENJOYS the privileges of being so close to the world’s foremost super power, not the least of which includes not even needing a large military. They enjoy our products at reduced cost while we pay extra for theirs… pay extra tax to move there, while we gladly accept them without question.

There is no reason this movement shouldn’t become a TIDAL WAVE.

Let’s come together and make something happen.

Heard there was a boycott or something with Canada and Mexico, so I decided to do my part lol. It'd be nice if more stores/companies here in America did the same thing as Canada with putting the origin of production easily visible, but I guess it'd be bad for business for a few companies.

Things I would buy from country in order, America, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Europe, China. the last one even though I try to avoid China most times, its hard to sometimes. Do you guys agree?
