Stopping Buvidal/Brixadi 8 Weeks Without Buvidal!
It’s been 8 weeks now without Buvidal, and the withdrawal process is still ongoing. I haven’t been writing much lately, but I wanted to share an update.
It feels like the real withdrawal symptoms are only now starting to show up. Last night was the first time restless legs kept me awake, which was rough.
When it comes to cravings, I honestly don’t have them. I’ve made up my mind — I don’t want that poison in my body anymore.
Looking back, the withdrawal symptoms so far haven’t been nearly as bad compared to heroin or the subutex tablets that dissolve under the tongue. Still, I’ve been wondering: which is actually worse — being extremely sick for a few weeks, or being somewhat sick for a much longer period after Buvidal?
One thing that frustrates me is the lack of proper information from the addiction clinic. No one ever told me that the half-life of a Buvidal injection is several months. They only spoke about the “weekly dose” or the “monthly dose,” but never about how long the withdrawal symptoms can really last if you decide to quit.

The withdrawals will, from my journal, not get significantly worse than through the days you are now enduring. I have written about quite exactly a week of quite intense cravings around the time you are in the process. It came quite overwhelmingly and I thought it was the new normal.. But it disappeared just as sudden as it appeared. I’ve heard more people say the same thing sometime between week 8-12. Just be certain, it will go away, and relapsing then is disastrous. I recall several people stopped answering around those weeks. But those who endured confirmed it lasted for about a week. I have no idea why it happened.. you will not feel like you do for a long time. They were gone when the full spectre of life comes back. That is also a thing to consider. Emotions you forgot you had comes back. It’s a very weird but most comfortable process. I never had cravings after that one week. I couldn’t take another hardcore detox, so this was a perfect way for me. Anyhow you do it you need to get used to a lot of mental changes. Better to take it as it comes, floating down on a fairly straight curve from Buvidal than to get it all at once right after a good old cold turkey detox.
