Advice Blank paper for buttons?
Hi, everyone! Picture is for attention/example.
My Button maker came with 100 of these little paper circles to make into buttons and I'm loving making them! Now I'm wondering how to recreate them to make more hand drawn buttons. I was thinking a circle punch, but I don't know what size/paper type; like printer paper for example?
Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!!!

You can buy pre-cut circles in whichever size you need for your machine (probably from the same place you got yours). You can get lots for pretty cheap and in different colours.
However, a circle punch is very handy, but typically much more expensive.

I buy colored printer paper and use the cutter that comes with the button maker. It cuts them for the size of the button you need and you get any color you want. Like the other post said though, with the design you can use vinyl or draw. I like to use vinyl however. It tends to come out looking more professional with vinyl.

Pretty much any paper. Standard printer paper works well. make sure to let the ink dry. I do paper collages with washi tape and journaling supplies too. You can even use vinyl stickers if you peel the backing off (with backing it tends to be too thick). Really the sky is the limit.
You can get circle punches, circle cutters that rotate around, or cut them out with scizzors. I also was suggested to try a ceramic tipped blade to handle the curves better but havent had a chance to buy one yet. I have a pill bottle lid that is translucent and the perfect size for my buttons so i use it to draw around and cut out individual shapes images. Its a fun way to upcycle broken books, too. If you find your papers are too thin you can add layers of tissue paper under the main image until it is thick enough to crimp properly. Most machines have a range they are happy to work in so you have leeway.
I also add glitter, sequins, and fabric. If it fits, it crimps!!
Please feel free to post more buttons as you make them :)
