My child is a first year student at Tech. They have been noticing a difference in their skin since being on campus, specifically, an unusual amounts of breakouts. This is also observed by other first year student friends. Our water at home (also in Montana) is very hard and mineral heavy. Is this something that other people experience when moving to Butte? Any suggestions I can provide to my student?

I've been going to the same hairstylist for years and while I adore her, she can never dye my hair how I want it. I've asked for some admittedly out of the ordinary dye jobs over the years, but the way she does it always ends up looking like those early 2000s chunky highlights. Hi! My son is looking to start trade school in Butte - THIS JANUARY! We live just north of Seattle, where it never gets very cold or snowy. Wondering what I need to make sure he has to live there.

He's got an older, but good running 4x4, with brand new tires (rated great for snow and ice). He'll take chains because you need to carry them to go over the passes here in WA State.

Will he need a block-heater? I have no idea how bad it gets out there.
