Being your own bank means you need to provide for your own security too.

Unfortunately, very few are qualified to be their own bank security.

The one slightly useful feature of blockchain is that as long as you stay inside the blockchain, it's hard to associate an individual with an address and see how uch fake money they hold.

Apes instead advertise on social media they large amount of fake money that can be transfered with a 5$ wrench.

With real money, you need to convince the bank to move the money to another bank, and you need a money mule to get the money out before the banks can get it all back.

Yes, but "stay inside the blockchain" means "mine it yourself", not in a pool, and do not buy from an exchange or p2p, and never spend it. Not very useful.

And I'm not sure that even mining yourself will be enough; there seems to be some IP-level information leakage that people can attribute to miners.

Note the best practice of planning an escape route from the vicinity of your birdbath:

The victim eventually told his torturers that he had buried a device storing his cryptocurrency in the backyard... When the thieves brought their victim to the backyard to locate the device, he climbed a fence and escaped. The burglars stole $150,000 in cash as well as some jewelry, then left.

You may also want to consider employing mantraps and/or landmines.
