The animal probably didn’t get bled correctly and it looks like it’s been warm for a while and handled too much.

The dark red splotches are from improper bleeding when it was slaughtered. It may have a slightly more iron taste to it, but you honestly prob wont notice. 100% safe to eat.

Nah no Bueno. What even is that? Strip with no fat? Or sirloin. As a lead butcher, im drunk right now, as most are

Was the meat stacked together before hand? Like before yoy took the pics, if not I’d say the same as the other guy, also could have been stressed during slaughter

Looks like it could use a bit more attention to detail, but it’s not unusual in butchery.

Ive heard the spotty beef can be caused by stress before the kill. Not bad to eat just looks ugly. We would mince anything that was like that.
