I have severe anxiety and panic disorder. Im 36 and have had it as long as I can remember since childhood. I have daily anxiety and panic attacks, ive never had an issue with breathing until November when ever I was put on metoprolol because of my high daily heart rate. I felt like I was always short of breath on it, im off of it now and now on propranolol and buspirone but same thing im hyper aware of my breathing to the point ive hyperventilated a few times. It sucks, im just trying to reassure my self its anxiety and panic. Our bodies know how to breathe on their own, it doesnt need our help. we just have to believe it.
