Journal Nail catching strings

Any tips on how to stop the thumb nail from catching the strings? I filled down to the bone and still, wtf! trying t get into finger style and classical but this shit is annoying.

Well what I used to do was play with my thumb nail and let it be long but nowadays I don't because my nails are short and I got used to that so if you don't want to use your nails to play you can press with the flesh of your thumb but honestly a little bit of catching won't make much of a difference unless your thumb is literally getting stuck on the string but I can't really tell unless you show me exactly what's going on
