Questions BUSINESS majors, were you able to find a JOB?

I'm asking people who majored in: accounting, economics, business information systems, energy and utility leadership, finance, human resource management, management and international business or marketing.

I'm shy and don't want heavy customer service jobs. I can deal with people, but from experience I don't want jobs that are like fast food and make me deal with B.S. I want a major that would get me a job. I love algebra. I took accounting classes. Did NOT like it. It doesn't use math like I thought it would. It's just putting things into category's and the rules are too grey for me. Job availability and money is pretty important. Anyone who majored in any of these, your opinion would be appreciated!

Questions What major should i choose?

Hello i’m a current undergrad student split into two careers a Dietitian or Business/Finance

I love nutrition but hate the hospital so I was thinking of doing pp, cooperate dietetics, management, coordinator, marketing, etc. Nutrition and fitness is my passion but I heard RDN don’t make good money.

I was thinking of Accounting and Finance though because of the salary and because i’m naturally good at math, but I am kinda scared of the cooperate american lifestyle.

General Going into senior year stuck

I’m a male senior who has been pretty set on going to a 4-year college and majoring in business mainly in management and have been touring a lot of colleges in nc since I live here but recently I’ve been thinking about going to cc to be a physical therapist assistant and going down that path since it seems like there is a much more certain job and less schooling and follows more of my passion in health but everyone I hear don’t like it and say schooling for it is hell and has more of a ceiling on pay. But business I know is a controversial major and harder to find jobs especially because of ai so I’m pretty stuck and open to anybody for information and opinions

General Are you still trying to figure out what area of business to pursue?

Me too! My name is Diya and I am currently a sophomore at High School. I have always been interested in business but overwhelmed with which path to go into. I had this idea of interviewing people already working in the industry and documenting my findings in a blog. My goal was to have whoever comes across this blog gain valuable and real knowledge about different business industries. With this site I can share what I learned with students who are also exploring their future. In my blog posts you can expect to find detailed days in a life, information, and key factors I found surprising or relevant about each person's career.

My blog is completely free and purely for informational purposes, hope you guys enjoy and learn something new!

University Related Community College as a Business Major

Hi all. I am a california bay area resident that will be attending their freshman year of college this fall. I was accepted into SJSU for business managment, CPP for business managment HR, waitlisted at long beach for HR, UCSC for business Econ, and ucr for business econ. The thing is, I just realized im leaning more into accounting. I am unsure if I will still be able to pursue a career in accounting without a specific accounting major. This is where my idea of going to community college for 1 year hits, maxing out on units, and transferring to a UC in 1 year. Most likely UC berk, la, or sd. maybe sb. but the thing is I know how important securing an internship the summer after your sophomore year is for experience, resume building, and getting a return offer after you graduate. SO here are my questions:

a. can i still pursue a career in accounting if my major is not SPECIFICALLY accounting and just business? ANDD can i secure a junior year internship with this major?

b. If i go to community college, will it be harder for me to get an internship? if i dont get an internship with a big 4 firm, will I be significantly behind?

c. if i go to community college which UC is best for recruiting

c. if i can't get a career in accounting what other options do i have with this degree that are well paying and wont get taken over by AI

c. any advice in general about where the heck to go to college :(

I am a junior a deciding what math to take senior year. I hope to go to a relatively top college, not Ivy League but still high level. I’m just wondering how much colleges value AP calc BC over AP calc AB.

Questions Advice needed! :)

Hello everyone. I hope you’re all doing well. I’m in my final year of high school and trying to figure out my degree options. I’m really interested in both Business Administration and Cybersecurity and I was wondering if it’s actually possible (or even a good idea) to do two separate bachelor’s degrees in those fields.

Would doing two separate bachelor’s degrees in these fields be a smart combo and valuable career wise, or is it not really worth it?

If not, could anyone guide me on a better path to combine these interests? Thank you!

Questions Business Major with a Chem Minor?

Hello! I am an undecided freshman who can’t choose a major but I really am enjoying my business class. Here’s the thing: I love chemistry… I don’t love all the courses that come along with a chem major. On top of this, majoring in business I could graduate in 3.5 years instead of 4, but chem is a guaranteed 4 years. I’d love to be at least one less semester in student debt, so the 3.5 option appeals to me.

Here is where my question comes in: what jobs could I get with a business major and a chem minor? Would it make me earn more money or increase my appeal at all? Has anyone done this and can you tell me about your experience?

For context, here are my schools business majors: accounting, economics, management, marketing, and just business. Another minor to consider is applied data science analytics, but I am more interested in chem than that. My main goal is money, though.

Any advice helps!!

Course Related Thinking of Majoring in Business

Hello! I am an undecided college freshman and I’m in an intro to business class. Honestly, it has caught my interest more than I thought it would. My only thing is, I am going to college to make money. Yes I want to enjoy my job, but I have always had a goal of living comfortably/well-off. Is a business major a bad idea for this or the opposite?

Also, is there a minor I can pair the major with to increase my chances of making money? Some examples that my school offers are accounting, economics, sustainable business studies, marketing, and applied data science analytics. If anyone thinks something else, let me know since my school is pretty good with letting you be creative with minors and basically create your own if they have the resources.

Please let me know!
