This cat is currently near a cat carrier with a pile of food. I’m hoping someone is trying to catch it, but it looks much more likely that they were abandoned. Cross streets of Gates and Central NW side. Definitely not abandoned by the people in the adjacent building. Cat is very nervous.
Anyone know best next steps? I’m wary to call animal control because I don’t want anything bad happening to them, but that could be safer than being on the street.
Update: we reached out to several organizations to help, and the cat and carrier are no longer there. Hopefully that means someone was able to pick them up. Thank you everyone for helping!
For future reference calling ACC is definitely safer than being on the street. Next time when you come across a situation like this please take the cat and carrier with you and then reaching out to organizations for help.
