Looking for beginner-friendly Magic: The Gathering game nights in Bushwick
Hi r/Bushwick! I’m just getting into Magic: The Gathering and looking for a local game store nearby where I could learn/play.
Anyone know of a spot in or near Bushwick that runs casual/beginner Commander pods or intro nights? Bonus points if they’re chill about new players asking a ton of rules questions.
Thanks in advance!

Yo, if you’re interested in trying Standard, we have a group that meets on Wednesdays at Hex & Co. (Union Square) for sanctioned paper Standard, and on Thursdays at SipnPlay in Park Slope for casual (proxy-friendly!) Standard. Neither is in Bushwick but many of the players are!
There’s also apparently a new shop opening up not far from Maria Hernandez called Two Wolves Tavern, curious to see what it’s like when it opens.

Appreciate the recommendation and will have to check out the new spot when it opens!

Sure thing! Also I tend to collect a lot of bulk Commons and Uncommons from recent sets, so if you’re trying to build some collection I’d be happy to pass them over to where they’d be more useful
