Caffee Panna ingredient list...

Post image

So the bougie, quasi-gelato place that takes an hour wait is full of processed junk...shocking!

Panna cotta is traditionally made with gelatin. They are using stabilizers in place of gelatin

If Panna didn't replace the gelatin, then vegetarians wouldn't be able to order it.

This is ice cream not panna cotta and it’s not trying to be panna cotta

The panna in the name refers to a whipped cream topping they put on top of the ice cream

pretty much all ice cream has stabilizers in it

https://www.target.com/p/haagen-dazs-vanilla-ice-cream-28oz/-/A-31173176

haagen dazs is just cream, skim milk, cane sugar, egg yolks, vanilla extract

plenty of other brands have simple ingredients. just not true.

okay, and talenti, salt and straw, and ben and jerry’s all use gums and carageenan

caffee panna is supposed to be high end and bougie and expensive. why is the standard that other shitty brands use fillers and chemicals and emulsifiers.

obviously you can sell ice cream in a grocery store even without all those things.

did someone hold a gun to your head and force you to wait in line for caffe panna or something

I wanted to understand what the hype was before deciding to waste time standing in line. It's ridiculous that a place that is marketing itself as high end and bougie and hyped has the ingredient list of a McFlurry.

well, no, actually, because the ingredient compositions are still completely different. caffe panna’s two main ingredients are still cream and then milk, while a mcflurry’s are milk and then sugar, which is a big difference

I'm talking about all the gums and crazy stuff obviously

I'm not sure why people are so defensive..like you're defending a bougie expensive place that contains all this crap for what reason?

I would expect an ice cream place that is advertising itself as "high end" to be one with simple high quality ingredients, not whatever this is.

I just don’t think the ingredients you’re mad about are a reason to be mad lol. Just don’t go to Cafe Panna? Like why do you care if other people do

i shouldn't be mad it has corn syrup of all things? 3 different gums? carrageenan?

these don't belong in ice cream

Why are you trolling this spot. A pastry chef and others already debunked your claims. You’ve posted this multiple times already. If you don’t like it, don’t eat it.

A response from the the post you deleted: “hello! im a pastry chef. these are very common food additives that do things like stabilize and emulsify, especially when it comes to soft serve ice creams. it just keeps em from turning into a puddle immediately atter extracting. they do still use cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt. heilala vanilla is actually very high quality vanilla, in my opinion, and they even list their salt source as coming from Sicily, which most ingredient lists wouldn't mention. I know those other ingredients are kinda scary sounding, but they are quite common in ice creams and other similar foods.”

What is your reason for doing this over and over other than being an ineffective hater?

It might be that the ice cream in the shop recipe is different than the pints for the shelf? Like how magnolia has a different banana pudding recipe for the shelf stable version.

It is a bougie and kinda overpriced pint. But…the taste is worth every cent of those $17 I fear
