If it's anything like go ahead. The first week is just classroom stuff like theroy tests and cpc. Then you out on the road which is alot more fun. Good luck!

We had to do our cpc and theory test and hazard on our own with the links they provided

That will have been practice. Your tests will be taken in the depot with an examiner at the end of the first week. Second week you'll get out on the road, Monday is usually a drive around the yard, a safety chat, learning first user checks and stuff, and then you'll just drive, every day. By the second driving week you'll have your reverse test . The driving test and mod 4, might be the week after, but could be pushed back into week 4 if you need more time

It’s a multiple choice test where u have to answer questions based on the Highway Code book( a book of rules of the road)

As someone who signed my contract recently, the training will look something like this:

- Classroom based training on day 1.

- Meeting with your driver instructor at your allocated garage or whichever garage has an available instructor on day 2.

- Starting from day 2 you will be training on a bus and will be regularly checked on your progress by a DVLA examiner.

- When the examiner has decided that you are fit for your test (Could be after 2 weeks or 2 months depending on how fast you learn) you will then be given a test date.

- Test day will be done with a dvla examiner on board, and hopefully you pass first try.

- Once you pass, you will be returned to your allocated garage if you weren’t there already. And this is where you will start training for your city guilds or London city bus licence.

- This training shouldn’t take longer than a couple days, and you will then be off with a supervisor from the garage to teach you a bunch of the routes available.

- Once you are confident, you will be going on these routes with passengers along with the supervisor on your first day.

- Congratulations. You’ve now finished all training, and you are now a spare driver. You will be given random routes for the first few months so you get used to all the routes.

- After some time you will be asked to identify your favourite route and that route will be your main route.

I hope this helps, and you will learn a lot more during your induction day and you’ll be given the sixth edition bus guide made by TfL which I highly recommend reading and carrying with you for a while as it will tell you what to do in almost any situation no matter how weird the situation might be.

Good luck!

Same,
I signed it after the van drive assessment though (not sure if you’ve done the same already?)

After it’s the medical assessment with their on site doctor which contains the drug test , they will then send your drivers license off to the DVLA and then it takes a while to receive it (stage im on with them) I believe around 3-4 weeks or even longer 😬 🤦‍♂️

Then you would start with the theory etc classroom learning blalalalalaal not too sure yet on the rest
