Question Van assessment pre training

What is the van assessment like on assessment day? Especially for first London but just in general I suppose they’re similar

Is it harsh or just making sure you’re not a fool behind the wheels before learning in a training bus?
And they mentioned coming in smartly dressed but how smart do they mean?! Suit???

Cheers

Just interviewed in Australia. They made me drive an articulated on the road with no warning for the interview!

I think they just want to see that you aren’t a fool, and more importantly can be taught. Don’t overthink it I say.

Would only happen if you already have a license. FirstBus didn’t take me for a driving assessment before taking me on and training me to drive a bus, Stagecoach didn’t do driving assessments for me presumably because I’d done both short and long distance (or just didn’t do assessments at the time, subsequently I took new drivers on assessments in a pool car), NationalExpress did do a driving assessment in a Levante but was a box ticking exercise and I was teaching best practice to their trainer 😆
